Some needed donations came at the right time for the Clay County Emergency Food Pantry.
Recently, Great Dane Trailers donated $4,000 to the food pantry.
And on Tuesday, Riddell National Bank added $1,000.
"We have been short (on food and supplies) for at least six to eight months," food pantry representative Ruth Haas told The Brazil Times.
Riddell National Bank was able to make the donation after completing a food drive it began Nov. 5.
The bank asked the community to donate canned goods and non-perishable items at the bank's main branch in Brazil.
All the food and monetary donations collected were given to the food pantry.
The food drive, in its third year, ended Nov. 9.
Riddell National Bank President and CEO Mike Lawson said donations were also collected from the bank's "Dress Down Day," in addition to a corporate contribution.
He added additional monetary donations will be collected in the future from the bank's other locations.
