City of Brazil opens bids for work

The City of Brazil conducted a public meeting Thursday, Dec. 6, to read off the sealed bids from three competing companies.

According to city officials, the bids are for maintenance of the well supply system, replacement of filter media at the water treatment plant and abandonment of an unused well.

The bids are as follows:

* Bastin-Logan Water Services, Franklin, for $107.508,

* Mitchell & Stark Construction, Medora, for $132,525, and

* Infrastructure Systems, Orleans, for $118,000.

Officials will take the bids under review and announce a choice at a later date.
