theyre not having carrage rides this year as per city ordinance, pets are prohibited in forest park during festival hours, this includes cats, dogs and yes horses.besides, park supt wants to complain about the dog doodie left behind,he sure doesnt want to clean up after the horses, which by the way is his job.just another way to get out of doing his job but still get paid for it.

I took my grandkids through the park last night and I have to say that I am really disappointed. The ones that are there are very beautiful, but what happened to the rest? I remember when the CYL had lights all the way around the fence and a big sign on the gate wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. And at the north end the softball park had lights on it. The gazebo near the playground had nothing, nor did the bridge. I always loved the bridge when Walmart had the train that "ran" acrossed it. Maybe some new businesses need to be approached to try and get interest in decorating the unused shelters. CYL, you are a child oriented organization, at least hang a wreath or something.

On the upside, thank you to the businesses that have done what they have to make the park look nice.

I agree. The decorations did kind of suck this year. Perhaps unclegrabby was so nasty to everyone that set foot in the park, that they decided they didnt want to participate in the decorating this year.
