Laveda Juanita Krider

Laveda Juanita Krider, on Dec. 12, 2012 went to meet her Lord Jesus in Heaven. Laveda was born on April 18, 1917, the sixth of a family of 12, to Clara (Morlan) and Alva Hayes. She graduated from VanBuren High School, Class of 1935. On April 18, 1936, she married George Krider and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. Judy, their baby girl, was born to them in 1943. Judy was their love and joy and made their family complete.

Laveda worked outside of the home, with jobs at Simplicity Pattern in Terre Haute; secretary to Mr. Hunter at Natco Corp. in Brazil, and secretary for Jack Mayrose at Staunton High School for 13 years. After retiring in 1980, she so enjoyed being around people that she began selling Avon and won several awards with the company.

Laveda enjoyed spending winter months in Florida for 10 years with sisters and a niece. Her joy was in her family, singing with her sisters, her church, reading God's word and telling others about Jesus. She has been a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Brazil and attended Ladies Prayer meeting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her daughter Judy Timberman and husband Terry, Brazil, grandchildren Angie Albright and husband Jay, Minneapolis, Libby Butts and husband Mike, Brazil and T.G. Timberman and wife Beth of Brazil; great-grandchildren Zebbulon Butts, Clara Butts, Sam Albright, Abe Albright, Parker Timberman, Macey Timberman and Braden Parr, two sisters Ann Marlow and Carol Tyler, one brother Forest Hayes, three brothers-in-law Luther Krider, Roy Krider, and Russell Boatman, three sisterss-in-law Eva Hayes, Emma Krider and Mable Krider, several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Her family will miss her positive attitude, her unconditional love for all and her faithful prayer for many.

Services will take place Saturday at 1:00pm at Lawson-Miller Chapel, with Rev. Gary Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11-1 p.m. Pallbearers will include Terry Timberman, T.G. Timberman, Braden Parr, Mike Butts, Zeb Butts, Randy Timberman and Parker Timberman.

Donations may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or to the Great Lakes Hospice Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
