TERRE HAUTE -- B&S Plumbing and Heating, Inc., will help less fortunate families in the area by offering warm smiles and hearty meals this holiday season.
Through Terre Haute Catholic Charities and the United Way of the Wabash Valley, B&S Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Inc., will provide 150 free hams to families in the area to help complete their Christmas dinners.
"The holidays are a times for family, but they are also a time when many families are in need," B&S Plumbing and Heating, Inc., representative Sally Stewart said.
Catholic Charities and United Way of the Wabash Valley will distribute 150 frozen hams at the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Food Bank parking lot (14th and Locust streets), at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, on a first-come, first-serve basis. There will be a limit of one ham per household and those interested must show proof of residency.
"We are thrilled that B&S Plumbing and Heating, Inc., are making this very generous gift to our community," United Way of the Wabash Valley Executive Director Troy Fears said. "This will help ensure that many families in the area will have a brighter Christmas."
"Christmas should be a time of peace and joy; it shouldn't be a time for anyone to be hungry," Catholic Charities Agency Director John Eitling added.
