Brazil resident Diane Stark has had yet another story featured in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. Stark's story was published in the "Chicken Soup: Angels Among Us" series.

"I think it's important to remember that God is involved in our lives and often uses other people -- or even angels --to protect us from harm," Stark said of why she wrote the story. "I just wanted to remind people that even with all of the bad things that happen in this world, God still loves us and cares about what happens to us."

"An Angel in a Yellow Buick" tells the story of Stark getting lost in a rough neighborhood. After trying to turn around on a dead end road, several teenagers came toward her car. One had a weapon and Stark couldn't get past them without hitting one of them. Suddenly, a yellow Buick showed up and led Stark to safety.

"That night was one of the scariest nights of my life," Stark told The Brazil Times. "I really thought something bad was going to happen to me, and when I realized I was safe, I was overwhelmed with gratitude to God. He protected me and kept me safe that night, and I've never forgotten it."

The former teacher is now a stay-at-home mom of five and a freelance writer. She has been published in more than 20 Chicken Soup for the Soul series.

Stark is currently working on several other projects, including a children's picture book.

Stark is also the author of "Teachers' Devotions to Go," which was published in 2010. Her book and all of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series are available on Amazon.

Since 1993, books in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series have sold more than 100 million copies in the United States and Canada. The titles have also been sold in more than 100 countries and have been translated into more than 40 languages.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is currently implementing a plan to expand into other medias -- working on several TV shows, as well a major motion picture.
