TERRE HAUTE -- The Wabash Valley Genealogy Society will offer the presentation, "Hidden Genealogical Treasures," Monday, Jan. 14, at the Vigo County Public Library.
The program will be presented by Jim Gilson in rooms A, B and C in the lower level of the library.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the program will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Gilson's program will focus on well-known and lesser-known resources in the archives and special collections section of the Vigo County Public Library.
He will describe and discuss online and paper resources that are most pertinent to genealogical research.
Gilson holds a bachelor's and master's degree in history from Butler University, a master's degree in history from George Washington University and a library science degree from Indiana University.
He has served as the Archivist and Digitization Librarian at the Vigo County Public Library since 2001.
