Norma Jayne Bagal, 82, Brazil, passed away at her home Wed., January 9, 2013.

Jayne, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Clay County, Dec. 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Claude and Lillie Mae (Martin) Walker.

Jayne graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1950.

After high school, she worked as a fashion model for L.S. Ayres in Indianapolis, as well as a freelance salesperson at Wasson's Department Store.

Jayne enjoyed raising and showing dogs and cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Seymour Bagal, her sisters Cora Wyndham, Lola Nesty, Vallie Pittman, Sarah Webster and Jean Irwin, and brothers Santford Walker and Claude Walker.

Jayne is survived by her two children Debra Sampson, Brazil, and Terrance Burns (Gina), Florida, along with her brother Glenn Walker (Marie), Terre Haute.

She is also survived by her five grandchildren Shanna Sampson, Jarrod Sampson (Tascha), all of Brazil, Erica Garland (Landon), Ian Burns (Katy) and Trevor Burns, all of Florida, five great-grandchildren and many, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She will also be greatly missed by her close friend and cousin Dale O'Hern.

At her request, cremation services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home in Brazil.
