Friday, Jan. 18, is the final push for the United Way campaign.
Local United Way representatives are encouraging businesses and schools to set aside the day as a "Dress Casual for United Way Day," for a $5 donation.
The following are Clay County agencies that United Way of the Wabash Valley serves: Clay County Benevolence Ministry, YMCA of Clay County, Clay County Emergency Food Pantry, Clay County Council of Domestic Abuse, Clay County Senior Citizens Center, CHANCES For Youth, Boy Scouts of America (Crossroads Council), American Red Cross of the Wabash Valley and Catholic Charities (which supports several outlying food pantries in Clay County).
Last year, 13,098 Clay County residents were served by United Way of the Wabash Valley.
If businesses have not done so, they are encouraged to turning their contribution/payroll deduction sheets immediately as the 2012-13 campaign will close before the end of January.
More information and giving forms may be accessed at http://www.uwwv.org.
Contributions may be sent to United Way of the Wabash Valley, 2901 Ohio Blvd., Terre Haute, Ind., 47803.
