Helen J. Harlos, Lebanon, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, of natural causes.

Helen was born July 31, 1933, in Lebanon, Ind. She was the daughter of the late Isaac Fay and Susanna L. (Grass) Isenhower.

On Oct. 9, 1959, in Lebanon, Helen was married to William Dee Harlos. Mr. Harlos passed away Dec. 5, 2001.

Helen was raised in Lebanon where she was a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Stewart Warner in Lebanon. When her husband William was the county surveyor, she served as the deputy surveyor. Mrs. Harlos later went to work for the Western Insurance Group as an underwriter and retired from there in 1985. Helen was best known as a loving wife and homemaker to her family.

Mrs. Harlos enjoyed reading, painting, crosswords puzzles and tending to her flower garden. In addition, she enjoyed living and participating at Lebanon Manor where she considered all residents and staff as part of her loving family. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi Sorority

She is survived by three children Susan E. Redman and husband, Jeff, Lebanon, Jean Anne Daugherty and husband, James, Indianapolis, William D. Harlos and wife, Riki, Roachdale, sister Jessie Morris and husband, Duane, Lebanon, brother Fay Isenhower and wife, Sharon, Lebanon, seven grandchildren Justin G. Redman, Lebanon, Ryan D. Redman, Lebanon, James R. Daugherty, II, Indianapolis, Daniel J. Daugherty, Indianapolis, Shane A. Harlos, Rockville, Bryson Harlos, Roachdale, Brynnan Harlos, Roachdale, six great- grandchildren Erica McPeak, Colton Ranney, Payten Redman, Payge Redman,Wes Redman and Wyatt Redman.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher L. Redman and a sister, Martha Pearl.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, from 4-7 p.m., at the Boone County Senior Services, 515 CrownPointe Drive, Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Ind.
