Washington Township Circle Club
Washington Township Circle Club met Jan. 10, at the home of Rosalind Schopmeyer. Linda Schiele opened the meeting at 1 p.m. Members saluted the American flag and repeated the Homemakers' Creed. Linda gave a devotion called, "Count Our Blessings." The secretary's report was read and approved. The treasurer's report was read and approved. Four members answered the roll call by naming an old fashioned remedy from their grandmother. Members sang, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." Judy England gave a lesson called, "Heart Attacks -- Water and Aspirin."
Linda gave a citizenship lesson on the history of Bowling Green. There were many hotels and businesses from 1850-1907.
Mail your recipes to the county office in February. Judy gave a lesson on generations. The members closed by singing the Homemakers' Prayer. Refreshments were served and a social time took place. The next meeting is Feb. 14, at 1 p.m., at Linda's house.
