A hearse leads most funeral processions, but Donald McGranahan's funeral procession was a bit different.

McGranahan worked as a truck driver for more than 25 years and retired from the Texaco trucking service. Because of his lifelong dedication to truck driving, a TST farms semi-truck of Brazil led his funeral procession.

McGranahan, a Brazil resident, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, in Terre Haute. In addition to his dedication to trucking, he was a 50-year Mason and was one of the founding members of the Dick Johnson Township Fire Department.

Funeral director Brandi Tutterow said most funerals are personalized to fit the special characteristics of the deceased, but they've never had a funeral procession be led by a semi-truck.
