The annual Relay For Life of Clay County kickoff had to be rescheduled due to a conflict.
The original date was set for Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m., at Pappy's Barbecue, Brazil.
The new date has been scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5, also at Pappy's.
Relay For Life of Clay County Director Rachel Romas told The Brazil Times a mix and mingle event will take place from 6:30-7 p.m., with a program scheduled for 7 p.m.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham.
Romas said the Relay Kickoff provides a chance for teams to learn more about what Relay For Life and what the American Cancer Society can offer families, organizations and businesses.
The annual Relay For Life of Clay County event will take place May 18, from 4 p.m.-6 a.m., at the YMCA of Clay County, 225 E. Kruzan St., Brazil.

The goals for Relay For Life of Clay County 2013 are to have 28 teams, 60 survivors and raise $30,000.
According to Romas, each year, more than four million people in more than 20 countries take part in Relay For Life and raise funds for cancer awareness.
