Students honored through contest

Jackson Township Elementary students honored through Principal Jeff Fritz' 'We the People,' contest included Landon Reckerd, Kade Roembke, Drew Maurer, Kaya Daub, Ayden Stearley, Brayden Milner and Danielle White.
Jackson Township Elementary recently conducted a "Jefferdy" Contest at their school.

For the past weeks, JTE Principal Jeff Fritz has been teaching a unit titled "We the People."

The unit was focused on the founding of the United States, how the government works and other additional historical facts about the U.S.

The seven students who scored the highest on the "We the People" contest participated in the "Jefferdy Contest."

Those students were Landon Reckerd, Kade Roembke, Drew Maurer, Kaya Daub, Aydan Stearley, Brayden Milner and Danielle White.

During the contest, students had to give answers based on the unit.

The first-place winner in the Jefferdy contest was Kade Roembke.

Aydan Stearley took second-place and Landen Reckerd was third.

All students who participated in the contest received coin sets.
