PLAINFIELD -- Northview lost a pair of tough road games at Plainfield on Saturday night with the junior varsity and varsity each losing games by a 55-53 score.
The varsity led 17-11 after one quarter, but the Quakers chipped away at the lead over the middle two periods and had a three-point lead heading to the final period. Plainfield was able to hold on to the victory despite a 19-point night from Ethan Whitson and 15 from Craig Peters. Jim Mace added 12 followed by four from Christian Ellis, two from Joe Ball and one by Travis Hakman.
In the JV contest, the Knights lost a double overtime decision despite a 19-point effort from Nate Newton and eight from Mark Underwood. Both Kelly Hawkins and Jacob Harden added seven, Gaddis Baysinger posted six, Seth Payton had four and Hunter Ragan added two.
