The Tri County Community Club met at Gerry Cundiff's Jan. 16, with Wilma Holsapple as co-hostess.
We served a great meal of ham and all the trimmings. All the girls are good cooks and they bring their special goodies.
The afternoon meeting was opened by our president, Rhonda Tincher, with all saying the club creed and the pledge to the American flag.
We had two door prizes. They were won by Donna Rubeck and Elizabeth LaFary.
The devotions were read by Roberta Nees, a Christmas shopping spree.
Roll call by Linda Rushton was answered by 12 members, stating their favorite alcoholic drink.
Who drinks? Nobody much. Most of us said Pina Colada without alcohol.
We had one guest: Esther Heller.
The secretary's report by Linda was read and approved.
Donna Rubeck had the treasurer's report, which was also approved.
Linda Rushton had the hospital report. We approved the purchase of two new transport chairs and two new wheelchairs.
If anyone would like to donate any hospital equipment to us, please call 765-795-4462. Thanks.
We had a jewelry auction, which was fun. There were a lot of nice pieces that we all parted with, plus we bought more. Women never have enough jewelry.
This next month, the club will be at Evelyn Rubeck's Feb. 20, if weather permits.
We will have a Valentine's exchange.
Donna Rubeck received her birthday. My my, she is 39 again. Happy birthday Donna.
We have adopted a new nursing home patient. Her name is Joyce Sadler. Her birthday is May 5.
We closed our meeting with the Lord's Prayer.
And now our Bingo. What fun we have. Shelly Blyth won coverall.
May God bless you all until next month.
