Those curious about the market outlook for grain in 2013 are invited to a farm management program hosted by Purdue Extension Feb. 11.
Those attending will have an opportunity to hear from several guest speakers at the program.
Chris Hurt, Purdue University Agricultural Economics Department, will kick off the evening by providing a market outlook.
Michelle Steinbarger, ProAg, will discuss the benefits of crop insurance and how it works.
In addition, Gerald Harrison, Purdue University Agricultural Economics Department, will discuss the various aspects of farm management, including Indiana fencing laws and tilling rights.
The Farm Management Program will take place from 6-8 p.m., at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.
The fairgrounds are located on State Road 59, south of Brazil.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Purdue Extension in Clay, Greene, Monroe, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties are sponsoring the program.
