Local residents had the chance to hear how Purdue Extension impacts the residents of the county during the Clay County Extension Board annual meeting Jan. 28.

Close to 100 community leaders attended the event.

During the event, several area speakers discussed the impact of Purdue Extension, including Josh Butt, Lucy Strauch and more.

Those in attendance were treated to a meal prepared by the Bowling Green United Methodist Church.

Ceres Solutions, Endeavor Communications and Riddell National Bank sponsored the meal.

One goal of the Clay County Extension Board annual dinner is to allow the advisory board a chance to vote new members to the board.

Those elected included Jackie Chastain, Nancy Hyatt, Dwight Ludwig and Steve Stoelting.

Other individuals serving on the Clay County Extension Board include Mike Buell, Greg Burns, Becky Butt, Mark Cooprider, Carolyn Keiser, Rob Miller, Paul Sinders and Jim Smith.

Currently, J.D. Mace serves on the Extension Board as 4-H Council President, Joy Minor as Extension Homemaker President and Randy Staley as PCARET Representative.
