Organization offering scholarships

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

Students interested in picking up an additional scholarship should take note of the Wabash Valley Limbhangers scholarship through the Clay County National Wild Turkey Federation.

Students need to be a senior in high school for the 2013-14 year, or be a hunter and a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The Clay County Limbhangers Chapter will pay the dues for those who are not members.

Scholarship levels include:

* Most local scholarship winners will receive a minimum of $250,

* Most state/provincial scholarship winners will receive a maximum of $1,000, and

* The national scholarship winner will receive up to $10,000.

Those interested are asked to return applications to their local National Wild Turkey Federation Chapter.

Applications sent directly to the national headquarters will not be considered.

To find the local chapter, call Bob or Stacey Weil at 812-894-3332, or mail 5840 S. Jeffers St., Terre Haute, Ind., 47802.

There is a list of eligibility requirements.

Call 812-894-3332 for further details.
