Baseball camp was a success

Sunday, August 25, 2013

To the Editor:

Two families working together. One baseball player with a heart for children and a giving spirit. One hundred and fifty-one children from 10 counties.

Add that all together and you get the "words don't describe," "God's fingerprints all over it," "hit it out of the park," inaugural Brady Shoemaker Baseball Camp, sponsored by the FBC Christian Youth Campground.

We are grateful for the community support, particularly the following people and businesses: The Shoemaker family, Kim and John Murray, Leesa Nesty, Chantel and Jim Purcell, Bill and Dorothy Reberger, Lisa and Wayne Toney, The Nees family, Bonnie Boor, Ed and Janet Pearce, Randy Tilley, Char Chamberlain, Glenna Cheeseman, Jeff Bridgewater, Brad Chamberlain, Perry Mager, Rozanne Aker, Pacesetter Sports, Kroger (Wabash), Kroger (Brazil), McDonald's (I-70 Travel Center), McDonald's (Brazil), Wendy's, Sno Biz Sno Cones, Solar Bat Sunglasses, Hoosier Topics, The Freeze, Dairy Queen, Subway, Pizza Hut, Fiesta, Frito Lay, Aerial Arts Fireworks, Riddell National Bank, Terre Haute Savings Bank, The Brazil Times, Craig Pearson (Terre Haute Tribune-Star), Ross Rowling (WTHI Channel 10 Sports) and anonymous donors.

Thank you all.
