Letter to the Editor

Family grateful for city assistance

Sunday, September 8, 2013

To the Editor:

My family and I received a letter last week from the City of Brazil.

This letter informed us that we would be meeting with appraisers in the purchase of our home in the flood acquisition program.

This letter was a Godsend.

For many years, we have had trouble with the flooding of our home and nothing was ever done to resolve these issues.

Now we are seeing progress in this situation.

Therefore, with our hearts and souls, my family and I wish to thank everyone who has helped make our dreams of no more flooding come true.

And we also pray that God bless all the people who made this happen.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in this major project.

Thanks to FEMA, Homeland Security, the Brazil City Council, the Board of Works, Mayor Brian Wyndham, Theresa Glenn, and all other officials and entities that have finally made this dream come true.

And last, but not least, a special thanks to Stacy Gibbens, who put the extra effort into seeing this through.

Stacy, may God bless you and your family.

And again, thanks to everyone who made this possible.

Mark A. Bedwell,

Brazil
