Shelter still in need of food for cats, dogs

Saturday, September 21, 2013

To the Editor:

Thank you again everyone for your generous donations to the Clay County Humane Shelter after the story that was in the Sept. 5, edition of The Brazil Times.

We received much canned cat food and clumping cat litter as requested.

However, we are getting low again partly due to taking in a mother cat with approximately five, 2-week-old kittens, four orphaned kittens approximately 3-weeks-old, plus some older, larger kittens.

We are again needing the two above mentioned items as well as kitten chow, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc.

Foster parents for the new arrivals, plus older kittens would also be wonderful.

We have older kittens that should be out and running and playing to develop their muscles. We are unable to let them run like necessary.

Please consider fostering any of our animals, cat or dog. Who knows, you might find your forever friend.

Also, we always need volunteers to walk the dogs.

Thank you again for your help.

Nola Jane Blueher,

Brazil
