Republican Committee offers thanks

To the Editor:

The Clay County Republican Central Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in our Oct. 26, barbecue/pie auction/rifle raffle.

Special thanks to Jackson Township Firehouse for the use of their facilities for the event, Mike Buell of Wabash Clay Custom Meats for providing the pork, and The Outpost from which the rifle was purchased.

Thank you to all who donated pies, food and supplies needed to hold the event.

Thank you to all the Republican candidates who have stepped up to run in the 2014 local and state elections who announced their candidacy to attendees at the barbecue.

The success of the evening lies in every single person who purchased a raffle ticket and to those who came and shared in the fun and laughter.

Congratulations to Mr. Hofmann whose winning ticket was drawn in the raffle.

The Clay County Republicans look forward to offering more events for the public to meet Republican candidates and to talk about the issues.
