Where did all the free vegetables go?

Sunday, October 27, 2013

To the Editor:

Where we live, we get a calendar of events once a month that goes on here at the BHA.

One of these calendars thanked Mayor Wyndham for dropping off fresh vegetables and cantaloupes here at Jackson Gardens. It claimed he was thinking about our residents.

Well, I got news for you Mr. Mayor: We happen to live on the third floor of this building and we didn't even know about this drop off until it was over and read about it in this calendar, and we didn't get any vegetables or cantaloupes like they claim.

Another thing: I notice you're still hiring out-of-towners to run the city administration office, a job that should to Brazil residents, not out-of-towners. After all, Brazil taxpayers are paying for all this city government.

This makes the second time in five years this has happened, the last one was from Warsaw, Ind.

The worst thing is some people get with anything, some people don't.

Also, you need to get a real noise ordinance in this town and actually enforce it.

One more thing: I was fortunate enough to talk to the Brazil Main Street President by phone and she seems like a pretty nice lady. However, I can't figure why she keeps cleaning the area in front of Pappy's Barbecue? What's so special about that area?

Two more things: I was just wondering if she beautified the last town she was in before she came here?

The last beer garden they had here by Brazil Main Street was more than three years ago. Why haven't they had any since then?

Until next time, take care and be fair.

John Weddle,

Brazil
