Kiwanis Club grateful for support

Sunday, November 10, 2013

To the Editor:

The Brazil Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all the volunteers, donations and support that made the K-Day Pancake Feast and parade possible: The V.F.W. Post 1127, The Brazil Times, The House of Hope, Ferrell Gas, The Key Club Counselor Pat Krider, students and parents, queen/king and prince/princess candidates and runners-up, the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bob Bowen Ford and York Auto Sales (for providing convertibles), Charles Brown (parade emcee), and many others giving their time and talents setting up and cleaning up.

We thank the city, county and state officers and the fire department offices who coordinated the traffic, providing a successful ending of the festivities.

All of you made a difference for our youth!

K-Day is the only fundraising event the Brazil Kiwanis currently promotes.

All projects go to youth programs, scholarships, 4-H Clubs, special needs or requests, Riley Hospital, etc.

To keep the theme of "Making a Difference for Our Youth," we want to expand and add new programs, which calls for additional effort.

Kiwanis is family oriented. We work together around family agendas, limit meetings to one hour and work to keep any expense reasonable.

We meet at the Pizza Hut on the first and third Thursdays of each month, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Join us. Working together takes little time or effort.

Ann Walden,

Brazil Kiwanis Club
