Democrats express thanks

To the Editor:

The Clay County Democrats conducted their final meeting of 2013 Tuesday, with a presentation from Jason Jacobs and Janine Mullinix from the Clay County Election Office concerning the newly proposed voting centers.

The duo addressed several questions and concerns from the audience of more than 60 people in attendance.

The evening also included a nice meal.

Our thanks to Jason, Janine and also Delores Johnson and the many volunteers for preparing and serving a great meal.

Also thanks to those who brought in the many side dishes.

The next Democrat meeting will be the regularly scheduled third Tuesday of Jan. 20, 2014, and will be at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center.

We want to thank everyone for a great year.
