Senior Center offers veterans breakfast

To the editor:

After speaking with some veterans, William Joe Wilson and the Senior Citizens Board have decided to show their appreciation for all the veterans and wives of Clay County by sponsoring a breakfast at 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday.

The breakfast will be served at the Senior Citizen Center located at 120 S. Franklin St.

Sharon Brown and Wilson will see that biscuits and gravy are served to veterans of all branches of service. Veterans may come and relax while they enjoy a breakfast. Steven Atkinson, elected President of the veterans had 18 veterans for breakfast last week.

Wilson said "Dine with Doc" sponsors the first Wednesday of each month and health screenings are available for anyone wanting screened. Veterans interested in coming for breakfast can call 448-8848 or 449-2425 to RSVP.
