CYL leaders praised for efforts

To the editor:

The Clay Youth League softball season has ended, and we appreciate Matt Mershon and all of the Clay Youth League board members and directors for a great season, as well as Lindsey Mershon and all of the board members' and directors' wives. The time the board members and directors spent at the ballpark was immeasurable and took away from their own families. Please know that this was truly appreciated. The ballpark looked the best that it has in years. The batting cages were in excellent condition after being damaged during the harsh winter. The concession stand was always fully stocked and the bathrooms were clean. The girls improved every week and it was heartwarming to see the excitement on their faces when they were able to hit the ball and run the bases. Keep up the great work!
