The Jackson Township Better Homes Extension Club hosted their July 24 meeting at the 4-H Exhibit Hall with President Martha Ellen Knox serving as hostess. Ann Carol Harden gave grace before the pitch-in meal was enjoyed. Martha called the meeting to order with Shirley Koehler leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Rose Mary Price leading the Homemakers Creed. For devotions, Shirley read "Flo's Letter." Eleven members answered roll call by telling where they watched the fireworks. Barbara Powell led in singing, "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "Happy Birthday" to Shirley. The Secretary and Treasurer reports were read by Lauralee Hawkins and approved.
