Erickson appreciates support

To the editor:

Back in May, my family and I started a journey we never imagined taking. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and our summer quickly took on a new theme. The past six months have been filled with doctor visits, chemo treatments, surgery and recovery. Throughout the ups and downs this community has been a great support.

I want to take the time to sincerely thank those who have helped me and my family face the financial burden that comes with such a diagnosis. Whether you took part in the Pizza Hut fundraiser or are wearing one of my shirts or bracelets, you have made a big difference. And I especially want to thank the Boys of Fall for all their hard work in fundraising for me. This is a group of boys with huge hearts set on doing good for others. Thank you to each one who worked so hard to collect money, donated to the silent auction, contributed food or played your heart out in that football game. I am so humbled by the outpouring of love and concern for us. God bless you all.
