The Jackson Township Better Homes Extension Club

Dec. 5 at Sisters for their Christmas Party.

Norma Diel and Ruth Haas were in charge of the festivities. Ann Stigler, vice president, called the gathering to order by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Homemakers Creed. Norma gave the blessing before a luncheon was served. Twelve members and one great guest, Claralou Thompson, council president, recounted their favorite Christmas gift as a child.

There will be a lesson Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Extension Office on how to program a cellphone.

Ruth gave two readings, "Twas The Night Before Jesus Came" and "Christmas Is..." Norma read "The Lasting Christmas" and presented a Christmas carol name game of which Mary Kent won. Poinsettias were presented to Lauralee Hawkins, secretary-treasurer, and Claralou.

We want to send Ellen Knox, our president, our thoughts and prayers as she recovers.

"We Wish You A Merry Christmas" was sung.

Other members present were Donna Black, Bobbi Cayton, Ann Carol Harden, Shirley Koehler, Glenna Ogborn, Rose Mary Price and Barbara Powell.

Ruth will host the Jan. 22 meeting at 1 p.m. at the Extension Office.
