Pauline Elizabeth Wise, 99, Brazil, passed away Monday March 30, 2015 at her home in Brazil with her family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1915 in Jackson Township to the late Will and Nora Scharf. Pauline graduated from Brazil High School in 1933, and married Rev. David L. Wise on September 11, 1976. Mrs. Wise worked at Brazil Flour and Feed Company and later owned and operated the City Coal Yard. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brazil, and attended Jutson Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Pauline enjoyed attending the Covered Bridge Festival, spending time outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Wyndham; brothers, Robert Scharf, Carl Scharf; sisters, Edna Hart, Mazo Modesitt, as well as an infant sister.
