Travel Trouble: U.S. 40 closed from Depot Street and SR 59

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

A section of Brazil's main thoroughfare will be closed for an undetermined amount of time as crews work to repair a fire hydrant damaged in a vehicle crash earlier today.

Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen says National Avenue (U.S. 40) is closed from its intersections with State Road 59 and Depot Street. He suggested it would take some time for the water crew to rectify the matter.

The hydrant in question is located at the southeast corner of National and Depot. North and south traffic on Depot is still open.
