First Christian Church to present multi-media program next week

Friday, April 17, 2015

The Worship Arts Ministry of First Christian Church in Brazil will present "Music Inspired by THE STORY" on April 25 and 26 at 6 p.m. each evening in the church auditorium.

This multi-media program will feature the FCC Worship Band, choir and several soloists bringing the greatest story of all time to life through music and video. The production is a free event and no tickets are required.

Worship Arts director Jeannie Price said, "All 18 songs were written by Nichole Nordeman and Bernie Herms. This music is by far the most inspired songwriting and story telling that I've ever experienced. Each song not only conveys the character of the individual it is written about and the way God worked through them, but each song also speaks a message of encouragement and a challenge into our lives today."

The publishers of the original project write the songs reveal the God of grace, the God who speaks, the God who acts, the God who listens, the God whose love culminated in the sacrifice of Jesus, his only Son to atone for the sins of humanity. More than that, you will see that this same God is alive today -- still listening, still acting and still pouring out his grace and mercy.

The church has presented several community productions in the past including "The Journey" and "The Promise".

"This musical journey spans from Genesis to Revelation, as we see and hear God's story revealed through the lives of Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Moses, Joshua, David, Esther, Mary, Jesus, Paul and many others," said Price. THE STORY is a condensed chronological account of the Bible telling the story of creation, what went wrong, and how all will be made right again, who God is, who we are, and the meaning and purpose of life. So many people simply did not have a grasp of the Biblical narrative, let alone how it all fits together.
