Putnamville Correctional Facility is celebrating Correctional Professionals Week.

"We are proud to salute our state-employed correctional employees, contractual staff and retirees. We have a team that is so dedicated to making our facility run as safe and secure as possible," Superintendent Stanley Knight said.

Festivities include a canine demonstration, the PCF fire truck on display and a "Master Cornhole Tournament." An awards banquet was hosted to honor the staff for their years of service, awarding education scholarships as well as employees of the year.

A golf scramble at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Brazil brought out many teams to compete for first prize, and an ice cream social was held to give out sundaes. Coney dogs were served to staff members on every shift to say thank you for all their hard work.
