Christmas in the Park appreciates support

Sunday, July 12, 2015

Christmas In The Park would like to express our thanks for the help we received during the Strawberry Festival. We served 600 pounds of strawberries, 900 homemade shortbread muffins and 60 gallons of ice cream. This is a big undertaking for our 16 members. The funds raised go to help put on the Christmas Parade and the Lighting of Forest Park each year. We thank the community for your support of this event.

A special thank you goes out to Wendy's Restaurant and Casey's General Store for their donations. Also for the help in the way of people who came and worked the serving line making short cakes and handing out drinks.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Clay County Sheriff's Department and to Sheriff Paul Harden for all their help in setting up and tearing down of tables and chairs for the event.

Last but not least we would like to thank the folks from First Farmers Bank and Trust who volunteered to work the day of the festival, and to some community members who volunteered to help out also.

Again thank you all so very much for everything that you did to make the Strawberry Festival a success this year. We have already started plans for next year's festival which will be June 3, 2016
