SAR recognizes heroic efforts

On Aug. 8, at the Sons of the American Revolution Bi-Chapter meeting was held in Tripplet Hall at Wabash College in Crawfordsville. Above are members of the John Martin Chapter who attended along with Senior Trooper Joseph Ryan Winters. Winters was named Indiana Trooper of the Year and recently named by the American Association of State Troopers the 2015 National Trooper of the Year for saving a family of three from a burning house. Winters is assigned to the Lafayette Indiana State Police office. The SAR is always looking for Heroic deeds either by someone in law enforcement, fire department or EMT.
