To the editor:

The Brazil Parks and Recreation Board would like to thank all individuals, businesses and organizations that helped in any way with the 11th annual Fishing Fun Day held at Craig Park September 12.

The Crowd numbered in excess of 200 people. More than 90 children and their families spent the morning fishing and enjoying time with one another. The day started our a little chilly but eventually the sun came out and it warmed up to be a perfect day. And the fish were biting. Early on 9-year-old Landon Pieske caught a catfish weighing over three pounds. Free Cokes and hot dogs were available to everyone present. Each child 12 and under received a prize.

Brazil is fortunate to have such beautiful parks. And Brazil is also fortunate to have so many kind and giving people to help with this project. This is truly a community effort.
