James William Adami
REKNOWNED MUSICIAN AND RESTAURANTEUR, James William Adami, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 13, 2015, in Sarasota, Florida. Jimmy was born on June 20, 1927, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of local musician and businessman Albert William Adami and his wife Thelma, and was a graduate of Wiley High School and a veteran. Jimmy was an accomplished musician who played several instruments. His keynote instruments were the saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, and piano. The Jimmy Adami Orchestra, entertained ballroom dancers across the United States with its Glenn Miller/Guy Lombardo style of music. The Adami band also had its own television show in the early 1950s on WTHI in Terre Haute, Indiana.
