Concerns with Staunton Elementary playground

To the editor:

Several feet away from Staunton Elementary stands an eyesore and a safety hazard.

The playground outside of the school is in major need of an overhaul, as the equipment is covered in expletives and obscene graffiti. Years of wear and tear have left the end of the slide cracked and jagged.
