It shouldn't take so much work to rest

This weekend is Labor Day, and many in America have this first Monday in September off from work. It was originally intended to allow the labor unions to have a day off in honor of their contributions to the economy. The first Labor Day was in 1882 and became a federal holiday in 1894. Part of the history of this holiday was to provide a "filler" to cover the holiday gap between Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. Many people enjoy last-minute vacations to mark the end of summer. Schools have started, or will start this week, and outdoor activities, cookouts and rest all mark the holiday for most people.
