Meridian students learn about the March of Dimes

Thursday, January 12, 2017

On Jan. 10, Girl Scout Troop 2241 gathered at Meridian Elementary to learn about the mission of the March of Dimes. Their Troop Leader, Heather Scott, a teacher at Meridian, told the story of her experience with March of Dimes and her own premature children. While there they participated in the March of Dimes NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Family Support program and put together bags of items that will be delivered to Union and Regional’s families currently in the NICU. These bags consisted of donated blankets, hats, outfits, lotions, t-shirts, snacks and much more. By volunteering their time and hard work they were able to earn their philanthropic badges.
