Energy Assistance Program has available funds

Thursday, February 9, 2017

The Energy Assistance Program through Western Indiana Community Action Agency Inc. still has funds available for the winter heating season for families who have not received assistance since October 2016. This federally funded program is designed to help low-income families with the high costs of home energy. Income eligible families are provided a one-time benefit to their heating and electric accounts to offset some of the cost of utility bills during the winter months. Over 5,000 families in Vigo, Clay and Putnam counties are assisted each year through this program.
