Margaret Rosetta Lancaster
Margaret Rosetta Lancaster, 90, of Brazil, passed away April 19, 2017 at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil.
Margaret was born March 12, 1927 in Bridgeton, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eva (Logsdon) Byers. She married the love of her life Freddie Lancaster on December 24, 1946. Margaret worked at Kroger in the meat department until she retired due to health issues. She had attended Trinity Baptist Church in Brazil until her health declined. Margaret was a wonderful baker that enjoyed baking for her family. Her wonderful skill has been passed down to her granddaughter. Margaret was the matriarch of her family and will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Lancaster; daughter in law, Sedonia Lancaster; her 13 siblings and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret is survived by her son, Jerry Lancaster of Brazil; grandchildren, Kimberely Lancaster and fiancé David Mangus, Jerry ‘J.C.’ Lancaster; great grandchildren, Kyann Wasson, Bristol Mangust, and Johannah Lancaster; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services will be Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11 AM at French Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Clear Run Cemetery in Bridgeton. Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Little Historic Church of Carbon, 144 E Ridge St., Brazil, IN 47834.
