Prevent Child Abuse of Clay County says thanks

Sunday, May 21, 2017

To the editor:

Prevent Child Abuse of Clay County would like to thank the residents and businesses of Clay County for their part in Prevent Child Abuse month.

We would like to thank French’s Funeral Home and Nick French, Brazil Main Street and First Farmers Bank & Trust for sponsoring the many pinwheel gardens in both Brazil and Clay City. We would also like to thank Mark McCollum and Eckrich for their donation of hot dogs for our event at Healthy Kids Day on April 22. We would also like to express our appreciation to the Clay County YMCA for allowing us to partner with them at Healthy Kids Day.

Thank you to all the businesses and residents of Brazil and Clay County who displayed pinwheel gardens during the month of April. When we all work together, we can and will be able to provide a happy, safe and carefree childhood for every child in our community. The next meeting of the Prevent Child Abuse of Clay County Council is Thursday, August 3, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on S. Walnut Street, and the public is invited to attend.
