Eagles Riders feature Santa on a Harley in July
Have you ever seen Santa Claus on a Harley-Davidson? That is how Robbie Litz plans to dress for the Brazil Eagles Riders Christmas in July ride on the 30th.
The ride was organized by Eagles President and Eagles Riders Vice President Litz, Eagles Riders President Craig Stump and Secretary Tina Garrison.
Shannon Hill, an Eagles bartender, plans to dress as Santa’s elf and ride on the back of Litz’s bike.
Each year, the Eagles Riders use the July ride to raise money for the Brazil Shop With a Cop program. Last year, nearly $700 was raised and the year before about $600 was collected. This year, Litz hopes to raise $1,000.
“Every bit goes to help the kids,” Litz said.
Anyone can participate by riding or donating to the cause, Litz said.
If you want to ride, the registration fee is $10 per person on the bike. Litz is expecting as many as 50 riders but would like to see more.
The Eagles will serve biscuits and gravy from noon to 1 p.m. July 30 and the ride will begin at 1:15 p.m. to Clay City and back.
