CLAY COUNTY THROUGH THE YEARS: Riddell National Bank, years with steady growth

Riddell National Bank celebrated its 130th Anniversary in June of 2015. The original charter was granted in June of 1885. The bank was original known as the Zeller and Riddell Bank, with George W. Riddell serving as President. In 1900 the bank was granted a national charter, and the bank was renamed Riddell National Bank. The bank began operating with the initial capital of $50,000. Original stockholders in the bank were George H. Riddell, Daniel H. Davis, Jonathan C. Halbert, John F. Brown, Lacariah T. Barnett, Emanuel L. Winklepleck, John A. Morgan, Charles F. Riddell, John G. Bryson, and Lewis McCullough.
