Petition for road maintenance

To the editor:

A few years ago, this road ­--1300 South -- was chipped and sealed. The county came and changed the road back to gravel. They can’t seem to maintain the gravel, which causes a lot of dust, Lyme dust, which is a health hazard to the people that live in this condition. The county has plenty of money to maintain, chip and seal roads north of Clay city. they should do the same for the people south of Clay City. We pay our taxes the same as everyone else. We expect this problem to be handled in a timely manner and without hesitation. This is a very strong petition (signed by 23 people) to the road commissioners of Clay County, Indiana.
