Richard “Dick” L. Cochran
Richard “Dick” L. Cochran, 94, of Bowling Green, Indiana, passed away while living at Exceptional Living Center, in Brazil, Indiana.
He was born on August 1, 1923, in Brazil, Indiana the son of Cullen and Fern (McCann) Cochran. He graduated from Ashboro High School and served his country in the United States Army Artillery. During WWII he served in England, France, South Africa, and Germany. As a civilian he worked as a farmer in the Bowling Green area.
In his free time he enjoyed spending time on his pond.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Maxine (Bohannon) Cochran; siblings: Charles Cochran and Sam Cochran; a step-son Howard Phillip (Phil) Fay; brother-in-law Richard T. Marshall; sister-in-law Marjorie Cochran.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy Cochran Marshall of Ohio; step-daughter: Louise (Rick) Grisenthwaite of Georgia; step-daughter-in-law: Beverly Fay; step-granddaughters: Tina (Merle) Teskey, Robin (Dan) Dragon, and Kelly Grisenthwaite; step-greatgrandchildren: Mallory Teskey, Shelby Teskey, Quentin Dragon, Nadia Dragon, and Sylvia Dragon; sister-in-law Coral Cochran as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Richard is also survived by a close friend Madonna Foulke.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 11am until 1:00pm. Services will be at the funeral home, Friday, at 1:00pm with Rev. Rick Marshall officiating. Burial with military services will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
