Greencastle resident running for District 44 seat in Indiana House
GREENCASTLE — Greencastle resident Beau Baird has announced his candidacy for Indiana State Representative District 44 in the 2018 elections.
Baird has a bachelor of sci- ence degree in finanacial plan- ning from Purdue University, he recently completed the Indi- ana Leadership Forum and is no enrolled in the Agricultural Leadership Program with Agri- Institute.
“These programs help to improve an individual’s leadership skills in an effort to develop better leaders for tomorrow,” states a press release from Baird’s cam- paign committee. “The in-depth exposure to various aspects of Indiana’s economy and the issues impacting its growth and development is essential to making bet- ter decisions for those serving in various positions in government, such as state representative. Within these programs, Baird discovered his ability to thrive with- in leadership roles that led him to giving significant amounts of his time inthe
political arena in recent years working on several local, state and federal election campaigns.”
Baird is chairman of the Putnam County GOP, is the chief financial officer for a local home health care com- pany, he owns Baird Ranch, an American Quarter Horse Ranch and serves on the Inter- national Board of Directors for the American Quarter Horse Association.
He is working on his Internations Masters in Management EMBA, to be completed soon, in business manage- ment from Purdue University’s Kran- nert School of Business in conjunction with an MBA from Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
Baird has served on a variety of boards and committees at the local, state and national levels, including appointments by Vice President Mike Pence to the West Central Economic Development Board of Directors when Pence was Governor of Indiana.
